One of the most important and distinctive feature of a nuclear power station is that it can generate huge amount of electrical energy from a small amount of nuclear fuel. Nuclear fule is very powerful as compared to other conventional types of power stations.
It has been estimated that 1 kg of uranium-235 corresponds to 2.7 million kg of coal equivalent.
