The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Next Generation Jammer – Low Band Project Engineer (Level 4) join the Growler Integration Team located in Saint Louis Missouri. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

The Growler Integration Team is looking for a Project Engineer to support the Next Generation Jammer Low Band effort.  The candidate will work closely with the Navy customer to ensure that the NGJ-LB pod effectively interfaces with the platform.  This includes coordinating efforts among contracts, finance, hardware design, logistics support, aeromechanical studies, systems engineering and training teams.  Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills and experience working closely with a customer and suppliers as well as finance, contracts, and scheduling.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Tasking for project management activities
  • Supporting contracts efforts
  • Delivering Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRLs)
  • Monitoring Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Leading program meetings
  • Providing weekly status to the customer

Export Control:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Currently possess a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • Able to travel 10% of the time
  • Experience in an avionics, electrical, and/or a mission systems role
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years’ of experience in aerospace electrical engineering, aircraft systems/or avionics engineering
  • Experience in systems engineering involving: system requirements, functional decomposition and allocation, integrated design, analysis and evaluation, verification
  • Previous program management experience
  • Hardware/Electronics background

Typical Education:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
