The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an  Design and Analysis Engineer (Electronic Sys Design & Analyst), (Level 3) in Ridley Park, PA. A successful candidate will be responsible for working with customers to develop, document, design, integrate and test complex electronic and electrical systems.  This team member will also be able to work in a primarily independent manner, communicate with all key stake holders all challenges and risks associated with assigned tasks.  This team member will also support the mentorship of early career engineers, support senior engineers by reviewing developmental engineering to ensure safety, functional and performance requirements are met.  Maintain team processes and support continual team process improvement.  Perform research on critical technologies, create conceptual architectures and define CONOPS for the end users community.

This position is expected to be 100% Onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Works with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
  • Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
  • Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
  • Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
  • Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • BA in Engineering relevant skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Basic FORTRAN, SySML/MBSE experience in a production environment.
  • Familiarization with H-47 processes, including IRAD support, simulation lifecycle development in an production environment.
  • Experience in C/C++ in a Microsoft and Linux environment.
  • Experience in image detection and processing.  Masters in relevant engineering classification.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic relocation is available for internal candidates.
